Susan Sullivan, RDN, LD

I’m a Registered Dietitian with years of experience helping others achieve their health goals.

After graduating from Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in food science, and then completing my dietetic internship, I began working for a local hospital system. I held both inpatient acute care and outpatient clinic positions. I became well-versed in medical nutrition therapy- treating disease with nutrients.

I left the hospital system to pursue a career that was more client-focused, relationship-based and centered around nutrition counseling. I’m passionate about supporting YOU as you pursue optimal health. The road to wellness doesn’t have to be a lonely one. Let me be your partner!

What is a RDN?

A registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) is a food expert, and the only healthcare professional equipped to offer medical nutrition therapy (MNT).

After completing the required undergraduate coursework (and soon graduate coursework- a master’s degree will be required beginning 2024), a RDN hopeful will complete an extensive supervised practice internship, take a national certifying exam, apply for state licensure and maintain credentials with continuing education.

In juxtaposition, nutritionist is not a protected title or credential. There’s currently no regulation of the term, nor requirements for its use.
